Fluid Coils

Super Radiator Coils manufactures a broad range of water or fluid coils for numerous applications. Fluid coils can be small, <10" in length, or large, 30'+ and there is nearly infinite potential configurations between these two sizes.

Fluid coils function in cooling or heating applications using water, brine, glycol, thermal oil, or compressed gas as the fluid media setting the standard for cost effective heat transfer.

Our fluid coils are used in several industries, including military, power generation, gas compression, HVAC, data center & electronics cooling, ground support, and food storage & processing.

Fluid Coil with Offset Headers

The fluid coil pictured is manufactured with copper tube, aluminum fins and stainless steel headers. The copper tube to stainless steel headers joints were brazed with non-standard braze materials and are offset to match the piping of the existing unit.

All-Stainless Fluid Coil

This fluid coil was designed for use in a lumber drying application and was built entirely out of stainless steel to protect against the corrosives that are present in such environments.

Fluid Coil with Wraparound Header Construction

This fluid coil was designed to use 30% polypropylene glycol. The unique header construction maximizes cooling while mating to the existing pipe connections. Its thermal performance was modeled using SRC's Enterprise program. The balance of the coil was manufactured with copper tubes, aluminum fins and galvanized sheet metal.

Fluid Coil with Sealed End plates

This fluid coil was designed with copper tube, aluminum fin, and copper headers. The headers are outfitted with vents and drains which help remove air during installation and maintenance.  Additionally, this coil has sealed end plates to prevent leakage of both condensate and air.

Fluid Coil Small Tube Construction

The design of this unit features 5mm copper tube in a 16-row configuration. The small tubes were chosen to maximize heat rejection in a small amount of space. The heat rejected from this unit was balanced with down stream products with the support of SRC engineering. We were also able to design the coil with the inlet and outlet on the same side despite significant space constraints. The design includes jumpers, which bring the supply header to the other side of the coil, allowing connections to be on the same side while still achieving the necessary counter-flow configuration.

Water Coil with Pre-coated Aluminum Fins

This 70" x 17" 4-row water coil was constructed using 1/2" copper tubes and pre-coated aluminum fins for corrosion protection. Spring turbulators were added to increase the water's turbulence.

ASME Stainless Steel Fluid Coil

This coil was designed for installation in a wood kiln. Its designed was certified ASME and it was constructed entirely of stainless steel for corrosion protection.

Engineering Capability

We typically think of fluid that is transported through the tubes as water, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol or thermal oil such as Dowtherm. However, fluid coils are also used for gases such as air, nitrogen or methane.

In either case, Super Radiator Coil engineers are ready and armed with experience, knowledge and resources. And the Enterprise program is a powerful program that enables you to design your own heat exchanger.
