Air Preheaters

Produced as either a plate fin or spiral wrap design, Super Radiator Coil air preheaters guard against dew point corrosion in tubular/rotary air heaters in conventional or simple cycle power plants.  Higher combustion air temperature from air preheaters can additionally benefit waste to energy by way of increased throughput.  Material selection, fin spacing, row count and external coatings are balanced to control fouling and maximize plant uptime.

Robust materials of construction such as carbon or stainless steel are typically used, and built to ASME Section VIII, Division 1 code.

Bare Tube Air Preheater

This steam coil air preheater is a carbon steel bare tube 2 row design. An airtight header enclosure ensures zero air leakage and a cover plate is provided for connection to existing ductwork.  Structural reinforcements improve durability, installation and removal.

Air-Preheater

Air Preheater with Heresite Coating

This multi-row, multi-unit air preheater enclosure features spiral wrapped fin tube (carbon steel tube with aluminum fin), along with an enclosed airtight header construction. The housing was designed and built so that the heat exchangers could be removed for maintenance or replacement.

The heat exchangers and housing are Heresite coated for enhanced durability.

Air-Preheater

Air Preheater with ASME U Stamp

The carbon steel tube, aluminum fin spiral wrapped coils are designed to ASME Section VIII, Div 1 Code. The heat exchanger housing was also manufactured from carbon steel. 300# flanges are applied per customer request.

Air-Preheater

Air Preheater with Waterbox header

This heat exchanger features a removable waterbox header configuration. The design enables users to access each tube for cleaning and maintenance (after removal).  The heat exchanger core was manufactured from carbon steel tube and fin. Gussets were applied to ensure squareness, and lifting shackles were applied per customer request.
