Waste Heat Recovery

This heat recovery unit was built by Super Radiator Coils and included both the heat exchanger and the enclosure. The 3 heat exchangers are designed with stainless tube and aluminum fins in a stainless steel casing. The heat exchangers are removable and the housing incorporate rollers to facilitate easy removal.  Victaulic connections complete the connection to the customer piping.

The airflow in this application is vertical up.  As air passes over the bare tubes, they act as sacrificial tubes collecting contamination from the airstream. The top portion of the heat exchanger features carbon steel tube and fin embedded spiral wrap heat tube. The final pieces are 4" schedule 80 carbon steel pipe headers with 600# flat face flanges.

This 6 row stainless steel tube, carbon steel fin plate fin design.  Stainless steel tubes were chosen over carbon steel for their corrosion resistance.  It is common in food processing applications to not completely drain the unit which can cause pitting and leaks.

Additionally,  5/8 stainless steel tubes were used as they allow for a greater number of tubes in the space, and better heat transfer, versus the traditional 2" OD carbon steel pipes.

Designed, Engineered, and Built for Quality

We're obsessed with quality at Super Radiator Coils. We've invested heavily in quality programs over the years, and our internal standards are among the industry's best. Nothing leaves our factory without thorough nitrogen, helium, or hydrostatic testing to ensure leak-free operation.

Welding

Built by Experts

Our manufacturing personnel are the best around. Our welders and brazers are certified under ASME Section IX code to ensure that all welds and braze joints measure up to the level of quality our customers have come to expect. All welding and brazing programs are directed by Certified Weld Inspectors (CWIs).

HVAC

Designed to Work

Our heat exchangers just work. From using our expert gas stream analyses to determine optimal material selection to the reduced weight and increased efficiency provided by them, we know our products will work because we've done the research to prove it.
